Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the production of quality items according to specifications and standards.
- Engage in hands-on assembly and production tasks.
- Specific tasks may include:
- Hand folding printed materials
- Counting and bundling printed items
- Applying Velcro strips to printed materials
- Hand inserting or collating printed materials
- Occasionally operating various production machinery such as shrink wrappers, L-Bars, and Collators.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Punctuality and consistent attendance
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Candidates must be able to adhere to safety, security, and quality protocols, as well as comprehend and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and directives from supervisors.
Ability to identify issues and promptly inform management regarding production, safety, or injury-related incidents is crucial. Collaboration with team members to fulfill departmental requirements is expected.
Self-management skills to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work activities for efficient time utilization are necessary. Interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and respond constructively to instructions are important.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Employees will often stand or sit throughout their shifts, walk, reach with hands and arms, lift, twist, and crouch as needed. Frequent communication and auditory engagement are required. Regular use of hands and fingers for handling printed materials, assembling, collating, counting, or bundling is essential, along with the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull boxes of printed materials.
The work environment is an industrial manufacturing setting with noise levels ranging from 55-75 decibels. Hearing protection is provided.
