Position Summary
The Oncology Product Sales Representative is tasked with achieving and surpassing sales objectives by promoting oncology therapeutic products within a designated territory in a compliant and ethical manner.
This role involves representing and advocating for assigned brand(s) in the oral markets with approved indications, assisting targeted healthcare professionals, including Medical Oncologists, Hematologists, Endocrinologists, and nursing staff, to understand the efficacy and safety of Eisai's products in alignment with FDA-approved labels.
The representative collaborates with office management to provide various informational resources, such as product data, and fosters strong relationships with key personnel.
Additionally, the role requires an understanding of managed markets to ensure product accessibility and collaboration with reimbursement and market access partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct territory and market analysis to inform strategic business planning.
- Execute plans independently, engage with key stakeholders, and adapt to internal and external business changes proactively.
- Collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams, including Regional Marketing and Oncology Field Reimbursement Managers, to ensure coordinated efforts with customers in a compliant manner.
Essential Functions
- Educate healthcare providers on the utilization of promoted oncology therapeutic products for specific indications; deliver clinical, efficacy, and safety messaging in a compliant manner.
- Complete ongoing clinical acumen and compliance training to achieve expert-level knowledge for customers.
- Drive sales growth as outlined in the business plan, collaborating with District Business Leaders to enhance sales within Integrated Delivery Networks according to account plans.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan aligned with the overall business strategy, regularly reviewing with management to ensure appropriate strategic and tactical components are in place to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Monitor operating costs and compliance with the territory budget, identifying key decision-makers within practices.
- Influence prescribers and decision-makers by understanding the issues and opportunities within the territory to drive sales growth.
- Conduct sales presentations, informational in-services, and promotional education programs for targeted personnel.
- Travel as necessary for company meetings with healthcare providers and other relevant stakeholders.
Compliance with all Eisai policies and applicable laws is mandatory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant specialty sales experience, preferably in oncology or related therapeutic areas.
