GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Inventory Control Specialist reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager. He/she maintains the company’s inventory, ensuring that physical inventory aligns with the MRP (Epicor) system. The primary role is cycle counting finished goods and raw material in accordance with cycle counting policies. Support shipping and receiving of goods as required.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Cycle count finished goods and raw material in accordance with cycle counting frequency policies (ABC).
  • Reconcile physical inventory with Epicor MRP System and make necessary quantity adjustments to ensure that Epicor matches physical inventory levels.
  • Investigate for root cause any significant or recurring inventory discrepancies and develop corrective action with the appropriate organizations.
  • Assist with end-of-year third party inventory audits.
  • Organize / 5S inventory to aid in counting, reduce damage, and to improve production/shipping efficiencies.
  • Verify counts/quantity of incoming raw material and parts to ensure accuracy of receiving documentation.
  • Assist as needed in Shipping, Receiving and other material handling tasks.
  • Perform internal audits as necessary to determine objective conformance to our Quality System.

Requirements:

  • - High school diploma or equivalent
  • - Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred
  • - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching
  • - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • - Proficiency in data collection and entry
  • - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • - Strong Computer Skills ( Excel, Word )
