Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Systems and Optimization Analyst for a long-term 12+ month opportunity in Houston, TX. Our consultant will be responsible for monitoring and resolving daily EDI issues, enhancing transactional data for transportation logistics needs, and developing data analytic dashboards. This role offers exposure to system process improvement and opportunities for advancement within our clients Commercial Organization and value chain.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor SAP R/3 SCD and SAP S/4 VDB, and vended solutions for Bulk Truck and Rail Logistics support
- Streamline freight rate maintenance process
- Monitor Rail BOL transmissions and facilitate error resolution
- Identify areas of improvement for error monitoring in Bulk Truck and Rail Logistics
- Enhance freight rate processes and support transportation logistics
- Ensure data integrity for transportation logistics systems
- Develop analytics, tools, and reports using Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop reports and KPIs for transparent logistics data access
- Support building KPIs for performance measurement and continuous improvement
- Provide continuous project progress communication to customers and stakeholders
- Guide Systems and Optimization organization for analytical reporting and error monitoring
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional efforts
- Own business process development, improvement, optimization, and sustainability
- Determine process gaps and root causes for successful rail freight payment processing
- Execute exception reports to monitor global supply chain and transportation logistics improvements
- Enhance and generate performance analytics and metrics
- Collaborate with IT for SAP system changes and business requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise in global supply chain systems and processes
- Create and enhance analytics for storage activity, rail utilization, embargoes, and transloading

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Working knowledge of SAP
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of supply chain and/or transaction processing
- Minimum 5 years of related experience with 2 or more years in Commercial, Procurement, Transportation, or Logistics support function
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly
- Business aptitude to understand Commercial operations

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience using SAP S/4 HANA
- 2 or more years of direct experience in oil and gas logistics or transportation industry
- Proficiency in ERP search routines and electronic interfaces
- Experience in multi-modal supply chain transactions
- Ability to adapt to various computer software applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
