SUMMARY: Koop & Burr Insurance, a third-generation family-owned independent insurance agency, is seeking a dedicated Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager to join its’ Holland, MI office. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market accounts and develop insurance quotes for new and renewal commercial clients.
  • Prepare and present final insurance proposals to customers.
  • Evaluate needs of existing customers for cross-marketing purposes.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and underwriters to ensure client retention and provide maximum value proposals to each client.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, and promptly address client inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist clients with claims processing and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of clients' coverage and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions and transactions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and product offerings to better serve clients.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active MI Property & Casualty License required.
  • Associates degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 3 years insurance industry experience preferred.
  • 1+ year of commercial lines insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of coverages and ability to explain them to clients.
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic computer software required; experience with Agency Management Systems (TAM or EPIC) is a plus.
