GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for managing and monitoring the Configuration Management System of the company to ensure compliance with industry standards. They are responsible for documentation control and running the Engineering Change Process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain all engineering documentation including specific project documentation in the Controlled Document Repository.

· Responsible for performing tasks related to the process of configuration management, executing product configuration changes, and supporting change management activities.

· Oversee the Revision Control Process and collect the data from manufacturers to create reports for Engineering review to assist in customer interaction.

· Manage the engineering portion of the ERP system, including BOM updates, revision changes, manufacturer updates, etc.

· Manage the Document Control Process for form(s) associated with the Business Management System (BMS) of the Company.

· Assist with developing processes, procedures, policies, and continuous improvement for Configuration Management.

· Complete reports relating to the inspections, identification of failures and failure trends, and input into company key performance indicators (KPIs).

· Participates in continuous improvement activities.

· Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Familiar with Computers and computer assemblies and electronic components.

· Has a good working knowledge of MS Office suites/products.

· Able to read engineering drawing specifications.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Strong attention to detail and thorough.

· Addressing and discussing issues and proposed solutions with supervisor. Including proposing recommendations for improvement.

· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology.

 

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma/GED required.

· Four to six years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be US Citizen.
