Job Overview

Our organization is recognized for its commitment to quality care, serving numerous patients across the nation through an expanding network of healthcare professionals.
This role involves managing a designated territory and includes remote work with occasional travel. The Nutritional Care Specialist is tasked with creating personalized nutritional care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. This position also requires the development or acquisition of educational materials regarding nutrition for patients. The Specialist will provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers about prescribed dietary plans and monitor adherence to these plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the clinical management of current and prospective nutrition patients as part of the Nutrition Support Team.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to promote the nutrition program and focus on key business lines to enhance profitability.
- Work alongside branch, pharmacy, clinical, and sales personnel to ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
- Assist regional sales management in strategizing and executing plans to expand the nutrition business.
- Identify and advocate for nutrition program services to clinical and professional referral sources.
- Develop, implement, and monitor enteral and parenteral therapies to address patients' nutritional needs.
- Review patient medical histories and relevant lab values to evaluate home nutrition support protocols and make necessary recommendations.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home nutrition therapies and assess their understanding and compliance with dietary guidelines.
- Collaborate with management to maintain the Performance Improvement Program and relevant accreditations.
- Conduct educational sessions for referral sources, healthcare providers, and nursing agencies on clinical topics related to disease management and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian with a valid license to practice in the assigned state(s); certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
- High levels of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure are required.
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance are necessary, along with meeting company standards for driving records.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not entail supervisory duties.
