POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Cycle Count Specialist is tasked with addressing inventory inquiries, including discrepancies and quality issues. This role will assist in formulating and refining inventory policies and procedures, while also supporting various inventory projects to ensure accuracy and compliance with service standards.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure adherence to SOX compliance in relation to third-party audits and company standards.
  • Plan and coordinate all physical inventories and cycle counts, including date verification.
  • Prepare timely physical inventory summaries for management distribution.
  • Review and enhance inventory control procedures as necessary.
  • Identify and address internal shrinkage issues.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels, generating daily reports such as Daily Inventory Change and Negative Inventory, and implement corrective actions to maintain high service levels.
  • Oversee quarterly inventory counts of parts and supplies to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain a record retention program in alignment with corporate policies.
  • Perform basic slotting functions as required.
  • Investigate discrepancies and quality concerns, confirming pick slots and back stock accuracy.
  • Adhere to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) protocols as applicable.
  • Carry out other relevant job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to obtain licensing for operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse procedures for a comprehensive understanding of operations.
  • Experience as a selector or lift operator is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols.
  • Understanding of inventory tracking paperwork and reporting methods.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems and RF technology.
  • Strong mathematical, tabulation, and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to recognize and interpret location codes, date codes, and product codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to stoop, bend, twist, and reach as required to complete job tasks.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds and to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, from -20°F to 90°F, depending on operational area.
  • Ability to perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements for maintenance and service tasks.
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead and in confined spaces.
