ROLE PURPOSE:
The Cycle Counter plays a crucial role in addressing inventory inquiries, including discrepancies and quality issues. This position will assist in the formulation and enhancement of inventory policies and procedures. Additionally, the Cycle Counter will support various inventory initiatives and programs to ensure accuracy and adherence to service standards.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations concerning third-party audits and company standards.
  • Organize and oversee all physical inventories and cycle counts, including scheduling and date verification.
  • Prepare timely physical inventory summaries for management distribution.
  • Review and refine inventory control procedures as necessary.
  • Identify and address all internal shrinkage issues.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels, including daily reports such as Daily Inventory Change, Negative Inventory, Daily Inventory Evaluation, and other related reports, taking corrective actions to maintain high service levels.
  • Conduct quarterly assessments of parts and supply inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain a record retention program in line with corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Perform basic slotting tasks as required.
  • Investigate discrepancies and quality concerns, verifying pick slots and back stock accuracy.
  • Adhere to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as applicable.
  • Carry out other relevant job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to obtain licensure for operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Understanding of warehouse procedures for a comprehensive grasp of all processes.
  • Previous experience as a selector or lift operator is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with paperwork and reporting methods related to inventory tracking.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems and RF technology.
  • Strong mathematical, tabulation, and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to recognize and interpret location codes, date codes, and product codes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stoop, bend, twist, and reach as required to complete job duties.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, from -20°F to 90°F, depending on operational area.
  • Ability to perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements as necessary for maintenance and service tasks.
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead and in confined spaces.
