We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as a Human Resource Coordinator.  In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support to the HR department, playing a crucial role in recruitment, and benefits administration. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a positive employee experience and ensure the smooth functioning of our human resources processes while working on a rewarding career path. The Human Resource Coordinator will coordinate daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, hiring, and interviewing staff, and benefits administration. The HR Coordinator reports directly to the HR Director.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

.

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Interface and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • This is an onsite/in-office position.
  • Ability to travel to other FSC locations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

This position has no supervisory duties.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of HR principles and practices preferred.
  • Must possess a valid California Class C driver license, reliable transportation with current vehicle insurance is required and have a satisfactory driving record.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR role or relevant administrative experience.

  • Ability to touch type and use a personal computer.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise extreme patience and work under pressure.
