Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role as a Human Resources Specialist. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks in managing HR policies, employee benefits, personnel management, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations. This role is based in Sacramento, CA, but it offers flexibility for some remote work.


Qualifications

  • Human Resources (HR) Management and Personnel Management skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies
  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Addressing employee concerns and grievances
  • Providing guidance on disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws
  • Mediating disputes between employees or between employees and management
  • Identifying training needs within the organization
  • Coordinating training sessions or workshops
  • Familiarity with HR regulations and compliance
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures comply with state and federal regulations
  • Maintaining employee records and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
