Great Performances is the nation’s first caterer to own and operate an organic farm, Katchkie Farm located in Kinderhook, NY. Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Staffing Manager to join our team and play a key role in enhancing our staffing department. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for the food and beverage hospitality sector, coupled with a profound understanding of the catering industry.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Address long-term staffing needs (defined as less than 5 days from present)
- Proof large team communications, such as weekly and monthly newsletters, as well as our training materials.
- Send daily staff lists and reminders to ensure proper staff arrival
- Build events in our staffing software as requested by our Sales Department
- Offering shifts to staff in accordance with our Long Term staffing practices
- Confirm staff work details and inform them of any changes
- Send out dates to hold or book staff one week after monthly availability is sent out
- Assist with checking in staff on larger events and trouble-shooting all issues of late or missing staff at events
- Communicate with a large number of staff simultaneously via email and SMS for information regarding shift details, employment information, and other information.
- Data entry and analysis, with a heavy emphasis on Excel reports
- Contact list maintenance across multiple platforms
- Reviewing post event reporting for policy violations and relevant information
- Shifting roles to take on new tasks based on the demands of the season
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, such as operations, administrative support, customer service, retail, hospitality, staffing, recruiting, human resources or other related fields
- Intermediate with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and confidentiality
- Organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work in an environment with competing demands
- A sense of urgency, and a friendly, diplomatic demeanor
Location: NYC
Base salary: $70,000/year
Benefits: PTO, 401K, Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Transit, and FSA (Flexible Spending Account)
