About the Role:

ALTA IT Services has a direct hire position open for a Procurement Analyst with a current/active DoD Secret clearance to support KPS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the government contracting process, negotiating agreements, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and organizational policies. This role is essential for advancing the organization's digital and artificial intelligence initiatives through effective contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end contracting process, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and amendments with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Manage contract lifecycle activities, including contract execution, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and milestones.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, project management) to define contract requirements, terms, and conditions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors, driving value and optimizing vendor performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, evaluate contract terms to identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies to protect organizational interests.
  • Stay informed about changes in procurement regulations, contract laws, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters, including interpretation of contract terms, resolution of disputes, and negotiation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of contract documents, correspondence, and related documentation for audit purposes.
  • Prepare and review various documents, including acquisition, program documents, technical papers, and correspondence, ensuring appropriate formatting and error-free content.
  • Assist team members in other tasks and initiatives as needed to accomplish the overall mission.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Current/Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience: 5-9 years of experience
  • Knowledge: Federal Acquisition Regulation and DoD-specific acquisition policies and processes
  • Contract Management: Experience drafting requirements documents and contract awards/agreements, and managing the entire DoD contract lifecycle
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task effectively
    • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
    • Ability to convert conceptual discussions into effective presentations
    • High motivation and capability to manage demanding workloads and competing priorities
    • Excellent communication skills, integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage
    • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficiency with MS Teams, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or field
