Procurement analyst’s responsibilities are to analyze data on suppliers, products, costs, and delivery times to assess and compare variables. This is to determine which suppliers and products are the most suitable for the company.
Procurement analysts communicate with suppliers, while constantly studying historical sales data and inventory levels, staying updated on the factors that could directly or indirectly affect the supply chain. Document and maintain accurate procurement records assuring adherence to policy and compliance. Coordinate project schedules and administer project support as required by department heads and manage supply inventory. Collaborate with Sales, HR, Operations and Finance on special projects. Maintain cost control and purchase order management. Willingness to adapt quickly to changing procurement/project management processes. Agile.
Assuring integrity and ethical behavior in handling sensitive procurement and company information.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Procurement or Chain Management preferred.
Proven Experience in Procurement as an assistant or in similar role of minimum of 3 years with degree. 5 years without degree.
Bi-lingual English Spanish is a plus, but not required
Skills
Good communicator and analytical. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in excel. Strong organizational and time management is important. Finance knowledge a plus. Ability to work independently with sound judgement or part of a team. Able to travel as needed overnight. Excellent negotiation. Attention to detail with high level of accuracy. Knowledge of procurement software.
