As the Technical Program Manager for Global Content Operations (GCO) you will be accountable for keeping our team on track with its commitments, closely aligned with our stakeholder and vendor partners, and ensuring that our ecosystem supplying users with follow-the-sun support is running flawlessly. You will drive our team in applying operational excellence, establishing comprehensive project timelines, clear milestones and tracking that ensure we meet our SLAs and provide exceptional services to our stakeholders and users. 

 

Reporting to the Global Lead, Content Operations, you will contribute to the unification of a globally distributed group of operational teams, fostering a structure and environment that will ensure regional facilities are fully invested in the application of the central standards and work in unison to support content creators around the globe. You will apply your innovative mind towards streamlining communications that ensure follow-the-sun coverage is efficiently orchestrated and information handoff a well-oiled machine. Your capacity to manage work streams that are influenced by a diverse set of teams, your affinity for continually helping users, structuring processes, and representing team feedback for software and hardware improvements, will help the team shine and develop sustainably as we support the growth of our sports.

 

Your ability to establish deep relationships with our partners, vendors and our internal teams, combined with your technical literacy and effective ability to communicate across a broadly distributed team will be crucial in managing the challenges that may arise, and will ensure that we are always positioned to be an industry leader in content operations. Your passion for creatively integrating media technologies, your forward thinking and openness to new ways as well as your excitement for generating efficiency will help guide the expansion and development of our platform as we continue growing a world class media asset operation.


 

Responsibilities

  • Own the core operational practices, communication paths and standards to be applied by the Global Content Operations team, fostering a unified approach that will make optimal use of our global presence
  • Take ownership of the GCO knowledge-base and ticketing solutions; Ensure content is up to date and tickets tracked within SLAs
  • Compose project plans, timelines and clear milestones; Set rituals for project tracking and prioritization of workflows, tools or processes that serve the business needs represented by our stakeholders and users
  • Supervise support of the global content platform, fostering a culture of collaboration and user-first thinking across our global footprint
  • Implement processes to ensure that our team, systems and partners are consistently meeting their SLAs
  • Manage projects for the integration of new technologies, applications and partner workflows into our platform, serving our objectives for the consistent improvement and enhancement of our offerings
  • Build strong relationships with infrastructure and technical teams, establishing deep understanding of standards and methods for technology deployment
  • Set the standard for system documentation and knowledge-sharing

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in fields relating to Media/Digital Asset Management, Cloud and OnPrem deployments
  • Expertise in managing daily operations with vendors and support providers, negotiating and upholding, SLAs towards the deployment of Media Asset Management workflows within on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments
  • Extensive experience with globally distributed technology stacks and teams, especially infrastructure, engineering and development teams
  • Effective interpersonal skills; good judgment and ability to interact with different levels of management and teams
  • Ability to compose detailed technical documentation, user-guides and UAT specs
  • Self-driven; Self-starter with a habit for taking initiative
  • Strong Knowledge of SOAP, REST, JMS and PUB/SUB Pattern Solid knowledge of Java SE, Java EE, XML, XML Schema, XSD, XSLT/XPath and JSON technologies
  • Expert capability in Notion, AirTable and Tableau
  • Passionate about exploring innovative technologies and creative solutioning to implement cutting edge processes, Esports 
  • Fluent in written and verbal English, and fluency in at least another language would be a plus

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience performing integrations with and between M.A.M., D.A.M., CMS and VCMS platforms
  • Strong fluency with AWS solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Up to date with all current and forthcoming streaming media technologies, i.e. MPEG 4 AVC, HEVC, HLS, MPEG-DASH MPEG 2, UDP, RTMP, H.265
  • Experience with the Iconik Media Management system
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex multi-team projects
