As a Senior Design/Construction Management Consulting Specialist, you will work closely with our clients to provide innovative solutions and expert guidance for all their construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire design and construction process, from project conception to completion. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and lead all communication related to design and construction projects
- Conduct project meetings, create timelines, and manage budget and resources to ensure on-time and within budget delivery
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze building and site specifications to determine project requirements
- Develop and implement design and construction plans, incorporating sustainable and cost-effective measures
- Oversee and review design documents, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to negotiate and finalize contracts
- Monitor construction progress and address any issues or changes that may arise
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and safety standards are being met
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
- Mentor and train junior staff members
- Act as a liaison between clients and project teams, addressing any concerns or issues to ensure client satisfaction
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of design and construction processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in design and construction management consulting
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience in developing and managing project budgets and timelines
- Proficiency in project management software and design programs such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits as needed
