Key Responsibilities- Servicing designated areas with company-provided resources.
- Conducting comprehensive loss control assessments of commercial accounts:
- Providing underwriters with detailed insights into the physical and operational aspects of an insured.
- Identifying risks and potential loss exposures while offering recommendations to mitigate these risks.
- Consulting with underwriters and other personnel regarding account acceptability, exposures, and controls relevant to various lines of business.
- Assisting underwriters and staff with account operations, exposures, construction, and protective measures.
- Conducting investigations into accidents and analyzing losses to determine underlying causes.
- Utilizing effective communication and sales skills to ensure compliance with recommendations and delivering safety training to clients.
- Participating in collaborative marketing presentations alongside Underwriting, Claims, and Marketing teams.
- Maintaining expert knowledge of company policies and procedures, as well as relevant Federal, State, and other applicable regulations related to Property, Liability, and Casualty coverage.
- Providing technical guidance and training to junior staff members.
- May lead the work of others, including mentoring, prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and reviewing assignments.
- May have a role in performance management and talent development for direct reports.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Field of Study: Safety, Engineering, Insurance, Business, or a related discipline.
Experience: Typically, 10 or more years of relevant experience. Certifications in areas of expertise are advantageous; relevant certifications may include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Associate Risk Management (ARM), Certified Safety and Health Management (CSHMS), Associate Loss Control Management (ALCM), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
Compensation: The salary range for this position is competitive and based on various factors including skills, education, training, certifications, and experience. In addition to base compensation, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package, which includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan for eligible employees.
