Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Build Manager to join our team at Plant Construction Company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both design and construction industries, with a proven track record of successfully managing multifaceted design-build projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design-build process from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Actively lead an integrated design-build team, including regular interfaces with clients, designers, trade partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Guide collaboration internally with technical teams and construction managers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
  • Address design concerns or issues resolutions as they arise.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, estimates, and project plans and providing insights to pursuits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Architecture or Civil Engineering preferred; Master's degree a plus.
  • 10+ years relevant work experience managing construction and/or design integration; with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • DBIA Certification highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management software; Revit and other BIM-related design tools strongly preferred.
  • Robust knowledge of design and cost management principles and practices.
  • Clear understanding of integrated design and construction schedules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multifaceted design-build projects to completion.
  • Ability to contribute in pursuit efforts for design-build projects.
  • Self-motivated, organized team player with ability to manage work priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse, multi-organizational teams and stakeholders.
