►This position works under the supervision of the CFO, the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following HR functional areas:

  • Onboarding, employee records and policies, talent acquisition, employee and/or labor relations, benefits and leaves administration, and process improvement.

Description:

  • Builds strong and trusting business relationships with employees
  • Ensures employee onboarding process is conducted seamlessly following established processes including pre-drug screenings.
  • Ensures performance evaluations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates recruitment process: create and post ads, pre-screening for leadership review, scheduling interviews.
  • Liaison with external recruitment resources and leadership to secure candidate attraction.
  • Benefits Administration
  • Workers’ Compensation and GL claim administration
  • Leave of Absence administration and designation: FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL
  • Ensures compliant separations and exit interviews.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Works closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention.
  • Handles general human resources inquiries: employment verifications, E-Verify, I-9s, offer letters, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

  • Associates Degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of human resources coordinator experience.

  • Must have experience on LOAs, OSHA, EEO, ADA, WC, labor laws, benefits admin.

  • The ideal candidate will have the knowledge to work well independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.

  • Detail-oriented and accurate.

  • Knowledge and experience in construction or related industries a plus but not necessary.

  • Deep knowledge of HR related federal, CA state and local employment laws, programs, and best practices.

  • Must demonstrate strong ethics, professionalism at all times, handle matters with discretion and confidentiality, have the ability to influence with positive outcomes and have the ability to effectively manage stressful situations.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
