Job Summary:

As an Environmental Safety Specialist at CMI, we prioritize the implementation of best practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and cultivating a culture of safety enhancement on targeted construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Air monitoring as specified by job site
  • Asbestos inspections
  • Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices
  • Generate reports as needed by the job site

Requirements and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years environmental experience to include asbestos inspections
  • Ability to calibrate, and run air monitoring meters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications
  • Ability to do 1099 on-call projects

Education and Credentials:

  • PA Asbestos License (current) required
  • NIOSH 7400 required
  • First Aid CPR AED certification required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking often on rough terrain.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Ability to stoop, crawl and bend
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs

Other Requirements:

  • Background check and potential drug screening required for the position
  • Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance
