Job Summary:

Compliance Management International is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing best practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and cultivating a culture of safety enhancement on targeted construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct air monitoring as specified by the job site.
  • Perform asbestos inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices to minimize risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Generate reports as needed by the job site to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, including asbestos inspections.
  • Ability to calibrate and run air monitoring meters to ensure accurate results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify and address safety concerns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications to manage reports and data.
  • Ability to work on 1099 on-call projects to meet client needs.
Education and Credentials:
  • PA Asbestos License (current) required to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • NIOSH 7400 certification required to demonstrate expertise in air monitoring.
  • First Aid CPR AED certification required to ensure safety in the workplace.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on rough terrain to conduct site inspections.
  • Ability to climb a ladder to access high areas.
  • Ability to stoop, crawl, and bend to conduct inspections and collect data.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs to transport equipment and materials.
Other Requirements:
  • Background check and potential drug screening required for the position to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands to meet client needs.
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance to ensure timely response to client needs.
