Your Role:
As a vital member of our College Station Water Design Center (WDC), you will engage in a range of design activities for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pump stations and ancillary infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design innovative water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Develop design criteria based on comprehensive analysis of process modeling data.
- Evaluate, select, and implement effective water and wastewater processes.
- Conduct hydraulic analyses for treatment plants.
- Design chemical storage and feed systems.
- Size and design blower systems.
- Create piping and instrumentation drawings.
- Prepare specifications and contract documents.
- Support construction projects and oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models.
What You Bring:
A Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, biosystems, or agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited program, along with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree in a related engineering discipline, experience with biological modeling software (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X, Sumo), hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Visual Hydraulics), and design experience in water/wastewater treatment facilities. Familiarity with multi-disciplinary teamwork and strong communication skills are also advantageous.
