Key Responsibilities:- Conduct air monitoring as specified by the job site to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform asbestos inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Generate reports as needed by the job site to provide critical information for decision-making.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, including asbestos inspections.
- Ability to calibrate and run air monitoring meters to ensure accurate readings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify and address safety concerns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications to manage reports and data.
- Ability to work on 1099 on-call projects to provide flexible support to clients.
- PA Asbestos License (current) required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- NIOSH 7400 certification required to demonstrate expertise in air monitoring.
- First Aid CPR AED certification required to provide emergency response training.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking on rough terrain to conduct site inspections.
- Ability to climb a ladder to access high areas for monitoring and inspections.
- Ability to stoop, crawl, and bend to navigate confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs to transport equipment and materials.
- Background check and potential drug screening required for the position to ensure a safe working environment.
- Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands to meet client needs.
- Residence within a reasonable commuting distance to ensure timely response to client requests.
