Opportunity: Drive growth in the dynamic Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex by identifying, cultivating, and closing new commercial landscape maintenance contracts with a target value of $800k+ annually.

Weekly Activities:

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Dedicate a significant portion of your week to identifying and pursuing new leads through cold calling, cold visits to properties, networking events, and leveraging your existing network.
  • Client Meetings and Presentations: Schedule and conduct meetings with potential clients to understand their needs, present tailored proposals, and build strong relationships.
  • Pipeline Management: Regularly review and update your sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and potential revenue.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (operations, estimating) to develop competitive proposals and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lunch-and-Learns: Organize and participate in lunch-and-learn sessions with property management groups to educate potential clients about our services and build brand awareness.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and the DFW commercial real estate market to identify new opportunities and refine your sales strategies.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Sales Revenue: Achieve an annual sales goal of $800k+ in new commercial landscape maintenance contracts.
  • Pipeline Value: Maintain a healthy pipeline with a minimum value of $30k—$100k in potential projects, focusing on smaller portfolio jobs rather than larger individual site jobs.
  • Closing Ratio: Consistently convert a high percentage of qualified leads into closed deals.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication, responsiveness, and exceeding expectations.

Ideal Candidate:

We're seeking a self-sufficient, motivated individual with a proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in commercial landscaping, construction, or a related industry. Strong time management skills, excellent communication, and a passion for building relationships are essential. Familiarity with the DFW commercial real estate market and understanding the green industry are highly desirable.

Successful Business Developers in this role are self-motivated, persistent, and passionate about building relationships. They are comfortable with cold calling and prospecting and have a knack for identifying and pursuing new opportunities. They are also excellent communicators and negotiators, able to tailor their approach to the needs of each individual client.
