Essential Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the accounting and finance operations to assure accurate and timely compliance with GAAP and DCAA guidelines and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws.
- Build a highly functional, productive team as the company grows.
- Manage documentation of policies and procedures and train others as needed.
- Prepare stakeholders reports timely and accurately.
- Oversee payroll, payroll taxes/reporting and benefits.
- Review current federal and commercial pricing bids for accuracy and compliance to contract guidelines. Prepare, update and submit billing rates.
- Manage general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit cards, purchasing, inventory control, and other financial systems, processes and internal controls.
- Administrate business insurance.
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate entities such as SAM (Federal System for Award Management).
- Review and report on financial performance by measuring and analyzing results.
- Oversee and support human resource functions such as recruiting, onboarding, and maintenance of related company policies as well as government reporting compliance.
Required Education & Experience
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a federal government contracting environment
- Minimum of 3 years rate development and contract experience
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is required
- Ability to work with limited direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze financial reports and information and effectively communicate findings with leadership
- Self-starter who can set up new systems and processes.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Ability to confidently interface with potential investors regarding financial information
Physical & Environmental Conditions
- Office environment involving long periods of sitting
- Extensive use of computer and associated peripherals
