As a dedicated Pest Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment by managing pest populations effectively.
Position Details:
This is a Full-Time position with a competitive pay rate of $18.31 per hour.
Your primary responsibility will be to inspect, identify, and manage pests, including insects, rodents, and wildlife, to mitigate health risks and protect property and vegetation.
You will ensure compliance with safety regulations by utilizing only approved pest control substances during your operations. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the grounds to ensure they are well-kept and functional.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of pest control products and submit requests for additional supplies as needed.
- Prepare and apply pest control chemicals while adhering to best practices to minimize usage and environmental impact.
- Implement mosquito control measures throughout the breeding season to manage populations effectively.- Coordinate larvicide applications in collaboration with environmental management teams.
- Employ humane techniques to trap and remove nuisance wildlife.
- Prepare annual reports detailing wildlife control efforts.
- Safely capture and handle animals exhibiting signs of rabies or aggressive behavior.
- Manage the transportation and disposal of deceased animals in conjunction with relevant authorities.- Remove and relocate non-threatening snakes, ensuring a safe environment.
- Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and cleaning using appropriate tools and machinery.
- Regularly inspect and clear grounds of debris, and manage snow and ice removal as necessary.
You should be comfortable working in various weather conditions and seasons.Other responsibilities may be assigned by your supervisor.
Compensation is set at $18.31 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to pass a thorough pre-employment background check.
- Minimum of two years of experience in pest management services, with a valid pest control license.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Availability for storm support duties as required.
