Summary/Objective:

The Senior Accountant position provides financial, administrative and clerical support by reviewing and analyzing customer accounts, orders, invoices compared to the original to ensure account accuracy by resolving discrepancies according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Makes collection calls to customers each week based on established priority list. Researches any invoicing discrepancies and makes any necessary corrections.
  • Prepares credits/billings per established guidelines and keys them to customer's account in an accurate and timely manner. Ensures that trade credits are accompanied by a receiving report or a billing (for off course sales).
  • Completes credit inquiries on customer accounts in territory of responsibility.
  • Files payment remittance documents, correspondence and invoices. Mails customer statements.
  • Evaluate and interpret financial accounting principles and statements including balance, revenue, and cash flow statements.
  • Performs account reconciliations (including period close process) including billing, bank statements, and credit cards settlements.
  • Prepares labor efficiency variance reports for management
  • Financial statements analysis
  • Financial Statement Monthly Preparation
  • Participate in Review of Financial Statements with CEO & CFO
  • Participate in outside audits
  • Reporting on Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance
  • Back-up support for Accounts Payable
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Communicate with other departments as necessary
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
