Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Health Event Coordinator to join our team at EPIC Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, planning, development, and management of events centered around the communities of EPIC Health’s health centers.

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive event plans and objectives. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful events. Manage event budgets and timelines. Evaluate event performance and report on outcomes.
  • Sales and Promotion: Utilize basic sales skills to promote our events and services to the community and stakeholders. Develop and implement marketing strategies for each event.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with the community to promote EPIC Health and its events as an agent of the integrated marketing department. Participate in community gatherings and functions as an ambassador for EPIC Health, in accordance with assigned duties.
  • Health Education: Use fundamental medical knowledge to align our events with the health needs of the community. Plan and coordinate health education sessions during events.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of volunteers and staff during events. Provide training and support to team members.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders, including health center staff, community leaders, and vendors, to ensure all aspects of the events align with our mission and goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans for each event.
  • Sponsorship Acquisition: Seek sponsorships and partnerships to support our events.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved. Gather feedback from community members and staff to enhance future event planning.

Qualifications

  • Sales Skills: Ability to promote our events and services to the community and stakeholders.
  • Medical Knowledge: Understanding of basic health concepts to align our events with the health needs of the community.
  • Community Engagement: Experience in working with community organizations and public relations.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in event planning, community engagement, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to community partners, patients, and other employees of EPIC Health.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM database, and event management software.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as events require.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Certification in Project Management is a plus.
