Location:
Candidates must reside in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. This is a remote position but requires at least weekly visits to our office located in Virginia Beach.
Position Overview and Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual capable of accurately and efficiently handling various financial and administrative tasks. With a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, the ideal candidate will support our Finance Department's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately using QuickBooks.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Manage timesheets.
- Utilize our PO system to track and process invoices.
- Handle bank deposits and manage incoming mail distribution.
- Coordinate monthly staff meeting agendas and support administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements:
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Prior experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and project management software is a plus.
