Location:

Candidates must reside in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. This is a remote position but requires at least weekly visits to our office located in Virginia Beach.

Position Overview and Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual capable of accurately and efficiently handling various financial and administrative tasks. With a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, the ideal candidate will support our Finance Department's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately using QuickBooks.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Manage timesheets.
  • Utilize our PO system to track and process invoices.
  • Handle bank deposits and manage incoming mail distribution.
  • Coordinate monthly staff meeting agendas and support administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Prior experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and project management software is a plus.
