Position Overview

You will serve as the primary finance resource responsible for executing Finance and Accounting activities of Genworth's India affiliate to meet local and international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review transactions and ensure all tax activities are accurately recorded.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Ensure financial controls are effectively executed and maintained.
  • Manage annual budgeting and revenue processes.
  • Maintain policies and procedures relevant to the finance function.
  • Conduct monthly analysis of financial statements and balance sheets.
  • Review account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Support team members in financial activities.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for financial operations.
  • Provide necessary documentation to the accounting team as required.
  • Coordinate with regulatory and tax authorities.
  • Liaise with the finance team on company activities.
  • Lead statutory and tax audits in collaboration with the accounting team.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives.
  • Act as a surge resource as needed.
Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in Goods and Service Tax, Income Tax Act, Companies Law, and other relevant accounting areas.
  • Familiarity with local tax requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage multiple and changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
