Agricultural Sales Representative IA

Based in Auburn, Illinois, Springfield Plastics, Inc., is a Midwest manufacturer that has produced plastic drainage pipe solutions for the agricultural, residential/building, commercial, and highway markets since 1978. We have established ourselves as the provider of the highest quality pipe, fittings, and service in the industry. Springfield Plastics, Inc. is the only U.S. manufacturer certified to use only 100% virgin resin in all products. We have experienced high levels of growth over the years and are continuing to build our team for future growth in the agricultural market.
As an agricultural sales representative with Springfield Plastics, Inc., you will network with contractors and farmers to educate them on the benefits of using Springfield Plastics pipe to fulfill their drainage needs. The agricultural sales representative’s time will include increasing market share in their territory as well as maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the agriculture and sales industry.
- Representative will be based out of their own home.
- Travel to company headquarters is required throughout the year.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills are required. This includes communicating with our customers as well as communicating with other sales and customer service staff.
- Organizational skills should include being highly detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to schedule daily tasks with follow-up.
- Knowledge of computers and smartphones necessary for organizational leadership and effective communication.
- Willingness to learn and follow Customer Relationship Management software, calls logs, as well as advanced sales training.
- Daily travel is necessary within the agricultural sales representative’s assigned territory.
- Seasonal trade show attendance is required.
- Valid Driver’s License
