Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, this position includes internship assistance with painting, carpentry, heating and ventilation, electrical and plumbing, and other duties as required.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Assists (hands-on) with general repairs including but not limited to painting and carpentry.
  2. Assists with maintaining preventive maintenance schedule.

Required Education/Experience:

  1. Preferred educational background: High School Diploma or GED or working towards a degree.
  2. Ability to work as a team member and take direction.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  1. Ability to use hand tools
  2. Ability to problem solve, and demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and dependability.
  3. Strong computer skills including Word and Excel or other spreadsheet formats.
  4. Understanding of the persons served by Bridgewell and the ability to balance their needs with the facility upkeep and management.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to respond to emergencies and exercise good judgment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb stairs. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses, and have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.
