Distribution Manager

Distribution team plays an important role in our business operations and warehouse success. As a Distribution Manager, you will get to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, leveraging your entrepreneurial spirit, passion for people-management, and knack for navigating rapidly changing situations to create great distribution outcomes. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily administration and operation of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of materials.
  • Streamline and enhance ERP system processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate and improve operating procedures, maintenance practices, space utilization, and equipment protection.
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely shipment of all finished goods.
  • Promote and maintain an economical and efficient shipping and freight logistics system.
  • Analyze sales, backorder, and inventory reports, as well as customer service levels, to expedite orders and update necessary reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, managing communication, contracts, and supplier accountability, while driving cost improvements.
  • Negotiate to ensure optimal costing, efficient routing, and quality service to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate international freight forwarder negotiations to provide cost-effective, efficient routing and quality service for international customers.
  • Prepare claim forms and work with Accounting and Customer Service teams to resolve issues related to lost or damaged shipments.
  • Provide training, guidance, and direction to department personnel.
  • Adhere to and promote safety and quality-related policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in distribution and logistics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of shipping procedures, including hazardous materials and export regulations.
  • Familiarity with quality and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership skills for managing the shipping department.
  • Excellent critical thinking and negotiation skills.
