Overview

The Vehicle Rental Sales Specialist plays a crucial role as the primary sales representative for vehicle rentals to both existing commercial accounts and prospective customers. This position necessitates collaboration across various departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management, while leveraging exceptional communication skills to engage with customers effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Marketing: Manage the sales process for incoming inquiries and conduct outbound marketing efforts. Responsible for implementing the marketing strategy of the business unit while ensuring the accuracy of data in the marketing database. Identify and capitalize on rental and leasing opportunities within the market. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with the current customer base, ensuring operational efficiency aligns with customer demand.
  • Operations & Asset Management: Oversee the profitability and operational efficiency of the rental location. Collaborate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to guarantee customer satisfaction. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and understand market conditions to optimize fleet utilization.
  • Customer Relations: Drive revenue growth by nurturing and expanding customer relationships. Ensure satisfaction for all customers by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communication: Foster constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations and clearly communicate Ryder's offerings.

Additional Duties

  • On a voluntary basis, the Vehicle Rental Sales Specialist may be required to serve as an On-Call Representative as per scheduling needs.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of one year of sales experience is necessary.

Compensation Overview:

The compensation for this role may vary based on several factors including relevant experience, education, work location, and market data. The pay structure is as follows:

Pay Type: Hourly

Minimum Pay Range: $18.00

Maximum Pay Range: $21.00

This position may also be eligible for bonuses, commissions, and long-term incentives based on performance.
