Tubman is in search of a dedicated Legal Support Specialist to enhance our mission-driven team. This full-time role is primarily focused on providing essential services within Ramsey County.
The purpose of this position is to ensure that our clients, particularly those affected by interpersonal violence, receive comprehensive advocacy and support during both criminal and civil court proceedings. The Legal Support Specialist will offer clients critical information regarding court processes, assist in safety planning, and provide legal professionals with insights concerning domestic cases, either directly or on behalf of the client. Additionally, this role involves assisting in the preparation and submission of protection orders, as well as connecting clients with valuable resources and referrals.
Legal Support Specialists also play a vital role in mentoring and recruiting volunteers and interns who provide advocacy services. This position requires the maintenance of professional relationships with judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and other judicial personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in direct services related to legal support.
- Undergraduate degree or relevant experience in a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with victims of interpersonal violence.
- Experience in a non-profit environment.
- Experience collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams.

Compensation & Benefits
