Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services, including verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation, on a wide range of Instron's products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to perform services, including verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using a company vehicle and provided tools/equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and technical training to ensure expertise in electro-mechanical systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and experience with materials testing systems
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret technical information, including blueprints and schematics
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills
  • Prior field service experience and automation systems experience are a plus
