Job Description

The Pasta Lead Artisan oversees the team and daily operations of the Fresh Pasta Retail counter at an Eataly location. Reports to the Store Operations Manager and the Head Chef.

  • Manages and participates in the daily operations of the assigned retail counters
  • Assists with employee hiring, assignment, training, payroll, scheduling, evaluations and terminations
  • Trains and fosters the development of the artisan team
  • Provides a steady presence on the floor daily, interacting with guests, employees, vendors and visitors
  • Slices, weighs, labels, displays, sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications
  • Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensures food adheres to the appropriate temperature conditions as per Department of Health and proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintains the item transfer system between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in food service
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of handmade and machine-made Fresh Pasta

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $22 - $27 per hour.
