Overview:
Join a prestigious bakery renowned for its innovative pastries and exceptional quality. We are seeking a Lead Artisan Baker to oversee our baking team and contribute to our mission of culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a dedicated team of 4-5 bakers.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Oversee daily staff scheduling and payroll management.
- Conduct interviews, training, and performance evaluations for back-of-house personnel.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure optimal product availability.
- Develop and innovate dessert offerings in partnership with the Executive Pastry Chef.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Perform quality assurance checks on all baked goods.
- Represent the bakery at select external events and programs.
- Manage food and labor costs effectively.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in a bakery or restaurant setting, with a focus on bread and viennoiserie, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. A passion for culinary arts and a deep understanding of pastry techniques are essential.
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in bread baking and viennoiserie.
- Familiarity with laminated dough, cakes, ice cream, and chocolate.
