Position Overview: The Director of Programming is a pivotal leadership role charged with crafting and executing a strategic vision for all events and programming. This role requires a visionary with profound insight into audience engagement, brand alignment, and the creation of compelling content. The Director of Programming will develop and lead innovative events that enhance brand perception, foster member engagement, and elevate the overall experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop a cohesive strategy for event programming that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Craft and implement a comprehensive branding strategy that complements and enhances business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain a unified brand message across platforms.

Content Curation:

  • Lead the development and selection of engaging content for various events and programs.
  • Ensure all content resonates with the target audience and adheres to organizational values and goals.

Program Development:

  • Design and oversee the execution of a diverse array of events tailored to the needs of all members.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful and innovative event experiences.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Direct the Private Events and Programming team, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and productive work environment.

Brand Experience Design:

  • Manage the conceptualization and realization of immersive brand experiences and activations.
  • Ensure these experiences reflect the companys mission and connect deeply with the audience.

Budget Management:

  • Oversee the financial aspects of programming and branding initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation and return on investment.

Audience Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize attendee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Utilize feedback and analytics to refine and enhance programming.

Measurement and Analytics:

  • Establish and track KPIs to gauge the effectiveness of branding and programming efforts.
  • Analyze outcomes to continually adjust strategies for maximum impact.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Creative Director and Director of Partnerships to align creative visions and enhance brand outreach.
  • Build and sustain relationships with partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to broaden brand impact.


Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a leadership role managing branding and event programming.
  • Strong background in marketing, brand strategy, and consumer engagement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in event planning, program development, and content curation.

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Creativity and innovative thinking in developing brand experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective idea presentation and stakeholder interaction.
  • Robust analytical skills, with proficiency in using data for strategic planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of current industry trends, consumer behavior, and best practices in experiential marketing.
