JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Programs is responsible for the development and management of all Cavett Kids programs. Programs include but are not limited to camps, retreats, and family support. Director is responsible for the oversight of all attendees such as campers, volunteers, and staff. Additionally, the Director is responsible for building relationships and maintaining relationships with doctors, nurses, case workers, and other organizations to ensure the mission of Cavett Kids is being accomplished.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

·   Plans, coordinates, and implements programs for Cavett Kids’ target populations

·   Responsible for supervising Programs Team

·   Manages recruitment and registration of desired volunteers

·   Coordinates volunteer training according to foundation requirements

·   Responsible for maintaining sensitive and confidential program information related to campers, families, and donors

·   Maintain a knowledge base of diagnosis, treatments, and psychosocial effects of various chronic and life-threatening illnesses

·   Develops and maintains relationships with doctors, nurses, case workers and other organizations to fulfill the mission of Cavett Kids.

·   Establishes and implements policies and procedures for all programs

·   Responsible for maintaining a programs budget, including the purchase and inventory of supplies

·   Maintains program expenditures within budgeted parameters and grants available

·   Assists with fundraising events and grant related activities

·   Assists with donor acknowledgement and donor stewardship plans


ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

·   Flexibility and willingness to work on evenings, weekends, and over-night during camp season

·   Clearance of background check

·   Use of personal vehicle may be required at times, with mileage reimbursement when applicable 

·   All other duties as assigned


EXPERIENCE

·       Required experience with planning and project management

·       Required experience with the coordination and planning of events for large groups

·       Preferred experience in the non-profit industry

·       Preferred experience working with children and teens

·       Required experience with Microsoft Office Systems, basic computer skills

·       Required experience with managing a budget and expenditures


JOB SKILLS

·       Ability to use all standard office equipment

·       Ability to communicate in writing and verbally

·       Ability to multi-task and to remain calm and professional

·       Ability to address conflict

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

·  Bachelor’s Degree preferred

·  GED/High School Diploma required

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

·       Valid Oklahoma Driver's License

·       Proof of Auto Insurance

·       CPR Certified (will be provided)

·       First Aid Certified (will be provided)

·       HIPAA training (will be provided)

·       Child Sexual Abuse Prevention training (will be provided)

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Walk, lift, reach, stoop, sit, squat, bend, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours

· Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds)

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard office environment

Various outdoor conditions- Seasonal

Minimal to moderate noise level
