Join our dynamic team as a Juniors Program Director

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of engaging programs for youth ages 6-12 (1st-6th grade). You will lead, supervise, and evaluate both program and volunteer staff, ensuring high-quality program delivery and adherence to budgetary guidelines. Building and maintaining strong relationships with community partners, school administrators, and parents is a key component of this position. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks such as monthly program reporting, grant management, and frequent program evaluations.

Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday 10:30-6:30 PM. 10 hours/week can be worked remotely. Some evenings and weekends are required.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Juniors Program Director, you will collaborate with the Club Director in hiring and training staff, conducting annual evaluations, and facilitating ongoing professional development. You will support staff in planning and implementing a variety of programs tailored to meet the needs and interests of our members, families, and the community. Managing the program budget, controlling expenses, and maintaining a structured schedule are crucial to the role. You will also mentor youth, guiding them in goal-setting and problem-solving, while ensuring a safe and organized program environment. Regular data collection and timely completion of necessary paperwork are also essential duties.

Requirements

  • 2-year college degree or 2 years related experience in youth management and service
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles related to the development of Youth specifically between the ages of 6-12
  • Understanding of group dynamics as well as the Clubs Youth Development Strategies,
  • Mission Statement, Core Beliefs, and Core Characteristics
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of effective guidance and problem-solving for youth and adults
  • Has proven ability to manage, motivate, and supervise team members
  • Must be knowledgeable in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Organization Requirements

● Must be at least 21 years of age or older
● Must be able to drive 15-passenger vehicles and have a good driving record
● High school diploma or GED
● Be CPR and First Aid certified (can arrange for this)
● Be able to function for more than 2 hours on your feet
● Be adaptable and flexible to change
● Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
