This role is for the University of Southern California with a duration for 13 weeks with possible extension.


Patient Registration:

Collect and accurately record patient demographic and insurance information.

Ensure all required forms and documents are completed and signed by the patient.


Insurance Verification:

Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for new patients.

Communicate insurance-related information to patients, including co-pays and deductible amounts.


Scheduling:

Schedule appointments for new patients, coordinating with medical staff and providers.

Manage appointment calendars to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.


Documentation and Data Entry:

Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) for new patients.

Enter patient information, medical history, and other relevant data into the EHR system.


Requirements (must have):

  • High school diploma ;relevant college coursework is a plus.
  • Experience in the medical field, including scheduling.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Applicants must have the ability to proficiently perform new patient intake procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes is advantageous.
  • Customer service-oriented, with a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
