Southwest Electric is looking for an Outside Sales Account Manager 80% Travel to build new business and manages regional and/or target customer accounts primarily for the purpose of building and maintaining an on-going business relationship that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and to Southwest Electric Co.


The ideal Candidate would live within an hour and half of Nashville, Tennessee.


Sales Territory covering Tennesse, Kentucky, Alabama and part of Georgia.



Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to visit customers, build good business relationships, and to generally promote all products and services offered by Southwest Electric.

Solicit business opportunities that fit the strategic goals and objectives as defined by Company management.

Review customer specifications to determine whether certain business opportunities are within our capabilities.

Review and or create proposals and quotations for products and services according to pricing policies established by Company management.

Identify market potential and orders potential within an assigned region or market.

Prospect potential customer base to build awareness of Company offers and build opportunity funnel.

Provide expertise and to recommend strategies consistent with the Company business plan.

Participate in commercial and promotional activities including, but not limited to, attending trade shows and conventions, making presentations to customers, and developing commercial material to promote the Company.

Lead the effort to resolve commercial disputes within assigned customer base.

Provide commercial support and facilitate technical and project support to customers.

Assist as necessary in the process of resolving payment disputes with customers.

Provide regular reports to Company management regarding commercial contacts and market conditions.

Other duties as assigned.
