Job Summary

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with existing customers across various sectors, including education, hospitality, government, and non-profit organizations. Your primary focus will be on driving sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving company objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing customer inquiries and order requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with Master Distribution Agreements (MDAs) by actively monitoring and managing customer contracts.
  • Maintain accurate records of bid pricing, customer agreements, and sales performance to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market share within existing accounts through in-depth market research, customer reporting, and personalized interactions. Collaborate with specialists and brokers to develop tailored product solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Leverage the expertise of Contracts and Bid Coordinators to streamline bid management processes and ensure timely execution.
  • Utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to effectively manage accounts, track opportunities, schedule tasks, and maintain comprehensive customer data.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance your knowledge of Sysco's digital platforms, reporting tools, and industry best practices.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in outside foodservice sales or B2B account management.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in the foodservice industry, including restaurant management or culinary backgrounds.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
