Location: Miamisburg, Ohio - Hybrid Position

POSITION SUMMARY

The Qualified Plan Administration and Consulting (QPAC) Plan Clerk is responsible for processing distributions, loans, and hardships from qualified plans. This role involves preparing applicable IRS filings, including 1099-R’s, 1096’s, and 945’s, and supporting the department's daily operations. The clerk ensures compliance with regulations and supports various administrative tasks to maintain efficient workflow within the department.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare retirement Plan Documents including both discretionary and IRS required amendments.
  • Prepare Section 125 Plan Documents including both discretionary and IRS required amendments.
  • Assist with the processing of distributions, loans and hardships as needed.
  • Open, sort and process incoming mail.
  • Assemble and process outgoing mail.
  • Miscellaneous clerical duties, including copying, filing, faxing, etc.
  • Scanning of all documents to CCH Axcess Documents
  • Prepare simple trust accounting and financial statements for retirement plans.
  • May prepare 5500’s for welfare plans and qualified plans as needed.
  • May be required to correspond with clients, plan sponsors and investment companies about plan distributions.

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous bookkeeping or accounting classes.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Will work beyond normal working hours and on weekends when necessary.
  • Travel using personal vehicle for work at client’s offices, meetings or seminars.
