We are seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team at Los Angeles Apparel. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Los Angeles Apparel you will lead efforts in identifying, attracting, and hiring talented individuals who align with our company culture and mission. Key Responsibilities:


Talent Acquisition:

  • Source candidates through various channels including job boards, job fairs, social media, networking, and referrals
  • Review and screen resumes and other credentials to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions
  • Conduct initial phone screenings, interviews, and reference checks to evaluate candidates’ skills experience


Collaboration:

  • Partner with managers across different departments to understand their staffing needs and develop and execute effective recruitment strategies
  • Collaborate with department managers on interview techniques and best practices in candidate evaluation process


Candidate Management:

  • Manage candidates through the recruitment process from initial contact to offer stage
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by keeping applicants informed of their status and providing timely feedback
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process and maintain a relationship with new hires through check-ins and consistent communication


Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our applicant tracking system


Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline recruitment procedures and enhance efficiency
  • Review recruiting and onboarding metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Topgrading methodology for talent acquisition
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • 2-3 years of work experience as a recruiter or in a similar role, preferably in the apparel industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of current California state and federal employment laws and regulations


Other qualities that are a plus:

  • Interest in the apparel industry
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Proactive and maintains a positive attitude and a good gauge of character
  • Comfortable working with data and metrics for decision making to drive continuous improvements


This is an on-site position that has a starting rate of $17.28/hour with medical and dental benefits, 401k, and overtime opportunities. Cover letter is not required.
