Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead our HR function and drive our people initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing HR operations within the financial services sector, with expertise in payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, learning and development (L&D), diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), and onboarding processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be instrumental in shaping our HR strategy, fostering a culture of excellence, and supporting the growth and development of our talented team.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the firm's business objectives and values.
  2. Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, compensation management, and HRIS maintenance.
  3. Lead employee relations efforts to promote a positive and inclusive work environment, resolving conflicts and addressing employee concerns effectively.
  4. Design and execute learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, foster career growth, and drive employee engagement.
  5. Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, partnering with leadership to create an inclusive workplace culture where all employees feel valued and empowered.
  6. Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding processes.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to HR and employment law, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
  8. Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to understand talent needs and develop effective recruitment and retention strategies.
  9. Foster strong relationships with external vendors, consultants, and industry partners to support HR initiatives and optimize resources.
  10. Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant HR certifications preferred.
