Role: Technical Applications & Support

As a Technical Applications & Support person, you’ll responsible for providing internal support through the review of engineering drawings, performing material take-offs, generating cost proposals, assisting with project development, and engaging with internal and external personnel.


Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering drawings and documents to understand project requirements
  • Perform accurate take-offs of equipment to generate cost proposals based on project specifications
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of product offerings and their applications through training
  • Assist Outside Sales staff with project development from inception to completion
  • Assist in designing tailored solutions that meet specific customer application requirements by applying HVAC engineering principles
  • Engage with customers daily to provide technical support, contribute to sales efforts, and assist in closing sales
  • Learn and utilize various selection software provided by manufacturers to aid in project development
  • Maintain effective communication with team members regarding project management processes
  • Effectively present information to customers and colleagues in various settings
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support equipment fulfillment processes, including order entry, order tracking, and report generation
  • Conduct occasional jobsite visits to review equipment layouts o Perform other job duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or associate's degree in engineering; or relevant industry experience of 2 to 5 years
  • Experience in the HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering, or Construction industry, preferred
  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Proficiency with and/or the ability to quickly learn Salesforce CRM
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, compute percentages, and interpret graphs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization
