**Position Overview**
Timken Power Systems, under the Philadelphia Gear Brand, is looking for an **On-Site Technical Services Technician**. This role is pivotal in delivering technical assistance through on-site repairs and component replacements for Philadelphia Gear and Brand X equipment, including Marine Reduction Gears, motors, engines, and associated driven equipment such as pumps, compressors, generators, and fan impellers.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Identify equipment malfunction causes through visual inspections and diagnostic tools.
  • Assess repair scopes and replacement parts by overseeing equipment disassembly and evaluating components.
  • Ensure equipment repairs meet design specifications and verify proper operation post-repair.
  • Timely preparation of service reports, time sheets, expense reports, and corrective action forms.
  • Engage in extensive travel to various locations, including international sites, to support critical equipment on marine vessels for the US Navy and US Coast Guard.
  • Occasionally supervise subcontractors during larger OTS projects requiring additional oversight.
  • Complete a minimum of 40 hours of training annually through PG/Timken University or other sanctioned training programs.
  • Maintain several safety certifications such as BOSIET, OSHA-10, OSHA MARITIME, DBIDS, TWIC, etc.

**Essential Skills and Attributes**
Candidates should possess strong multitasking abilities, goal-setting skills, and project management expertise with high accuracy and organization. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office software, are essential.

**Physical Requirements**
Applicants must be capable of walking, standing, climbing, lifting up to 25 pounds, crouching, crawling, and working on elevated platforms, catwalks, and offshore rigs. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to maintaining and enhancing technical expertise in both Industrial and Marine service applications. A high school diploma is required.

**Work Environment**
This position may involve extended daily hours to meet customer needs, including multi-week assignments both domestically and internationally.
