Ultimate Staffing is excited to represent a well-respected property management company in PDX. Our client is growing and looking to add a Community Manager to one of their new properties.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for all aspects of managing the assigned property. The position coaches and leads a Leasing Consultant and an Assistant Property Manager. This job description reflects the principal functions, knowledge and skills required. The Community Manager must perform all tasks that management determines are essential to the operation of the company and appropriate for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coaches and develops the site staff to work productively by reinforcing positive behavior, identifying and developing areas for improvement and setting a good example.
- Trains leasing consultants and evaluates leasing performance to ensure effective leasing.
- Ensures the community is maintained to companies standards. Quickly resolves safety and aesthetic issues.
- Builds positive resident relations and resolves conflict calmly while upholding company policies.
- Accurately administers resident accounts. Processes accounts payable in a timely fashion.
JOB DUTIES
- Utilizes effective time management and task prioritization systems for self and team.
- Manages property in compliance with Fair Housing laws and Oregon Landlord-Tenant laws.
- Evaluates property financial performance by understanding both P&L and budget variance reports.
- Administers HR payroll time-keeping and commissions. Works with Director of Operations on hiring, discipline and recognition. Maintains basic understanding of HR legal issues.
- Creates annual property budget in consultation with the Director of Operations.
- Builds a collaborative team environment, based on trust and open communication.
- Keeps office organized and clean. Utilizes a company standard filing system.
- Maintain confidential financial information and identification from applicants, including social security numbers, driver's licenses, bank accounts, credit card information, checks, and paystubs.
- Directly supervise two to seven employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training and coaching employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
